Traditional Art / Paintings / Landscapes & Scenery

10 feet high by 20 feet long latex on muslin. Fantasy pirate/ghostship coming out of fog bank on a full moon night with boarding party in long boat making their way ashore. Completed in 10 hours. Done from original sketch for idea and composition. Major lines placed on canvas via use of small guides drawn with chalk at 5' intervals to ensure correct proportions.

was this at all inspired by Pirates of the Carribean?

Not really, pirates are pirates and they all tend to look the same to some extent, but I think it is more accurate to say that the movies were inspired by what everybody always thinks of when pirates are mentioned. This piece was done for a halloween display that had no ties to the movies.
